How the Leaderboard Works

Every board shows the top 10 saved scores for one combination of test duration and difficulty, ranked by WPM. Scores are kept separate per duration because they are not comparable: a 90 WPM sprint on the 30 second test is a very different feat from holding 90 WPM across the 5 minute endurance test. Most players compete on the 1 minute typing test — the standard benchmark length — with Easy, Medium and Hard word pools ranked separately.

To get on the board, take any typing test while signed in and save your result. For context when reading the rankings: the average typist manages around 40 WPM, 60–80 WPM is solid professional speed, and anything above 100 WPM is elite territory.
